For a variety of reasons Intuit does not permit us to delete customers from outside QuickBooks. You may however delete a prospect by selecting it in the main customer/prospect list and clicking selecting 'Delete Prospect' in the modify dropdown box.
No. Prospects are maintained outside of QuickBooks however at any time you may convert them from Prospects to Customers by selecting the 'Convert Customers To Prospect" button on the prospect edit form.
Custom field data (for customers, specifically) was not available as of the ActiveContact 2.0 release. Once that data is made available to us we will make the necessary enhancments to provide that functionality to you in a seamless manner.
Like custom fields, that data was also not available at the time of release however unlike custom fields, once that data is available it should automatically start appearing without having to make any changes on our end.
As of now those fields have been set by Intuit as read only.
That field is not available on the Partner Platform. ActiveContact does provide its own contact fields however, and you can save more then one.
We don't have template support yet. Once we do we should be able to accuratly emulate the transaction in QuickBooks.
These are predefined reports that ship with the software. These cannot be deleted or modified.
This is functionality we hope to have in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.
No, the calednar was designed primarily as a graphical way to chart and view follow-ups, past and present. Outlook support is something we are looking into for future releases however.
First, ensure you are using a CSV (comma separated value) file. Secondly, try opening it up in a program like Excel to ensure it's being read correctly. If the problems persist, contact us at activecontact@synergration.com. If your comfortable sending a copy of the file you are trying to import we encourage it so that we can quickly and easily determine the problem.
Incomplete indicates that the name field you selected (on the bottom of the left panel) cannot be contructed for the given record due to insufficient data. Generally it's due to the fact that the first and last name fields are missing - or company name if you selected that option.
Dupliate indicates that the name field can be constucted however by doing so conflicts with another customer or prospect currently existing in your account list. Like QuickBooks, we prevent you from creating any customers (and in our case prosepcts) that would create a duplicate. If the customer/prosepct is in fact a separate entity, you will have to manually modify the CSV file in an application like Excel and then re-import it.
