Why should I upgrade to AccessBooks RealTime 5.0
AccessBooks RT leverages the enhancements to the QuickBooks 2008 programming interface
in addition to providing dynamic refresh support to fields which QuickBooks does not flag as modified
(and were ignored by refresh calls in earlier versions). These fields include but are not
limited to, Customer Balances, Quantity on Hand, Invoice and Bill Paid status and more.
AccessBooks RealTime 5.0 is also Vista compatible and supports the US, Canadian and UK versions of QuickBooks.
How can I get AccessBooks RealTime to minimize to the system tray and at the same time do a little dance?
You can choose minimize AccessBooks RT to the System Tray in the Options tab of Configure
AccessBooks RT. To then minimize AccessBooks RT, you must click the red X in the upper right corner. To close
the program, click Close AccessBooks RT.
Can I run AccessBooks RT from a terminal server or access my QuickBooks company file on the network?
As long as the path name and access permission is correct, you can run AccessBooks RT from a terminal server
and access any QuickBooks company file on the network; however, you must have QuickBooks installed on the same workstation running AccessBooks RT.
Can AccessBooks RT work with more than one company file?
No, because ListIDs aren't unique over multiple comapny files, AccessBooks RT is restricted to one.
How do I import my AccessBooks database back into QuickBooks?
Synergration currently offers
AccessBooks Updater,
the twin program to AccessBooks RT, which takes your AccessBooks database and imports it back into QuickBooks. A free 15-day trial is available for download.
I installed AccessBooks RT, but when I try to create a database I get a "430 Error - Class does not support Automation or does no support expected interface?"
Your install is most likely corrupted. Please reinstall AccessBooks RT. In addition, please
ensure that you're using a US, UK or Canadian version of QuickBooks Pro/Premier/Enterprise 2003 or later and the appropriate database software.
I keep getting "Data source name not found and no default driver specified" when I try to connect to my AccessBooks database.
Either your path name to the specified database is incorrect or you need to install the appropriate database software. If you're using MySQL, please ensure that
your
MySQL Connector/ODBC is up to date.
When I try to populate or refresh the Account table, I keep getting an error?
In order to access Accounts, you must have Allow this application to access Social Security Numbers, customer credit card information and other
personal data selected for RT's access permission. To change RTs access permission in QuickBooks go to Edit -> Preferences -> Integrated Applications -> Company Preferences,
select AccessBooks RT and click Properties.
What are all these empty tables in the AccessBooks database
AccessBooks RT creates the entire qbXML structure for the databaase. Some of these vestigial tables, such as the Deleted tables,
have negligible use, while others are only used by certain versions of QuickBooks, and as such, are not populated by RT.
I only get the last four digits of a credit card number when I export to the AccessBooks database?
Due to security changes in the latest version of the qbSDK, full credit card numbers can no longer be exported
from QuickBooks 2008. If you choose to export credit cards to the AccessBooks database, only the last four digits will be exported with
all other numbers being X'd out i.e. xxxxxxxxxxxx1234.
